Grand Army Women

This is the only reference of its kind as it is both a collector's guide and history of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) and their auxiliary, the Woman's Relief Corps, Ladies of the GAR, Daughters of Union Veterans, Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans, Dames of the Loyal Legion, Daughters of the Union. It includes Union women's activities during and after the American Civil War. This book is heavily illustrated with more than 500 full-color photographs and 150 black and white photos to illustrate the history of these charitable organizations.
